2017 Jogathon at The Madeleine School
Run for the money! We were so happy to provide “Challenge Grants” for the 2017 Madeleine School Jogathon. The 4th graders won the “Highest Participation” challenge and the 7th graders won the “Funding Frontrunner” challenge, (raised the most money in a single class.) It was a super fun day, perfect for running. We handed out 360 popsicles in less than 2 hours.
Overall $46,000 was raised by this fun event. Thank you to The Madeleine School for allowing Braces by Dr. Joe and Dr. Rensch to be a part of this fun day.
NEU PDX & Braces by Dr. Joe Partnership 2015
We are proud to announce the partnership between Braces by Dr. Joe and the Northeast United Soccer Club. In continued tradition, Dr. Joe and his team are excited to support another great local organization. NEU PDX has continued to become among the most consistently successful and accessible soccer institutions in Oregon and we are thrilled to help support their commitment to reaching the highest standards in our region for fields and coaching. The jersey sponsorship, in part, enables NEU PDX to fund the nearly $30,000 a year to families that would otherwise not be able to participate in their programs. It's just a great fit as we, at Dr. Joe's, believe that healthy kids start with healthy communities and NEU PDX would like to help get as many kids out there enjoying the game!
“There is no better community than NE Portland! This is where I live, work and raise my kids. For 15 years, we’ve been building beautiful neighborhood smiles- nothing gives me more pleasure than supporting our local youth, coaches and organizers, ensuring a healthy fit future generation of NE kiddos. Now let’s roll up our sleeves and score some goals- see ya on the pitch!” -Dr. Joe

“Play Hard and Have Fun!” – GYB
Dr. Joe has been a proud sponsor of Grant Youth Basketball since 2010.
Grant Youth Basketball (formerly the Laurelhurst Basketball Club) is a non-profit organization, committed to providing opportunities for boys and girls in the Grant Community to develop basketball skills in a sportsmanship-first environment. Founded by Coach Bernadette Diepenbrock, GYB follows her philosophy to "play hard and have fun!" This is a philosophy we embrace here at Braces by Dr. Joe!
Starting out as a league of 40 players in 2009, GYB has grown to serve hundred of kids each year through it's co-ed summer league (grades 5-8), skills clinics, and the Jr. Generals program (grades K - 4).
Dr. Joe has been GYB's longest standing and most loyal sponsor. Through his generous support (and the support of other locally owned businesses) GYB is able to offer fee assistance to students in need, so that GYB has never had to turn a player away from it's programs. GYB also provides much needed support to the Men's and Women's Basketball programs at Grant High School.

“On behalf of The Sabin School community, I’m sending my heartfelt thanks for your ongoing support of our auction. Thanks to community partners like Braces by Dr. Joe, we brought in more than $170,000. That’s a record! you have made a difference in the lives of our kids. For that, we are deeply grateful.”

Madeleine Kids: The Madeleine School Auction
This amazing event kicked off the auction season with a boom. We donated one orthodontic treatment to the live auction, but bidding got so heated we doubled up. In the end two happy families went home with braces for their kiddo. The Madeleine School raised double the funds on this item — and we felt great about contributing to a fantastic, neighborhood school. Truly, a night to remember!
"Our auction is the largest fundraiser of the year for our Parents' Club and raises 14% of the school's operating budget. Without donations from community members like Dr. Joe, we would never make our goal. These funds support our core curriculum as well as art, music, and Spanish. Thank you Dr. Joe and Staff for your generosity!" — Susan Steele, Principal, The Madeleine School
