Jump, Jump, JUMP!

What a GREAT idea! Students from Vernon Elementary School jumped all week during their online PE class to raise funds for their school. The virtual event "Jump for the Owls" was the clever alternative to the "Run for the Owls" which couldn't happen this year. Hat's off to the creativity at Vernon! The t-shirt design was a contest and 5th Grader TJ won a gift card to a local art store for more supplies. Super cool t-shirt TJ! We're happy to support this great event, one that keeps everyone safe and feeling "together" at the same time.

Happy Harvest Parade!
Sabin students rocked their spooky costumes at the Harvest Parade!
Students gathered at a safe social distance on the sidewalk in their costumes while teachers and staff drove around the block and handed out treats and toothbrushes! Who knew individually wrapped toothbrushes could be so much fun?
It was an awesome day and wonderful for the students and teachers to see each other from a safe distance during the spectacular spooky event. A GIANT Thank You to Sabin School PTA for thinking of safe creative ways to stay connected during these challenging times!
Alameda Artists Rock the Raffle & Sale
Posted: Feb 26th, 2020
We are so happy to help support the very first Alameda Classroom Projects Raffle and Sale! The event featured amazing projects created by the promising Picasso's at Alameda School. The projects went on display, then were raffled off. Hundreds of people showed up to support the Alameda School Foundation and buy tickets for a chance at their favorite pieces of art. Braces by Dr. Joe & Dr. Rensch sponsored a "Roaring 20's" photo booth where students, parents even grandparents struck a pose and showed their Roaring 20's style! What a great event! We love supporting our local schools and the awesome students, teachers and volunteers that make this neighborhood amazing!

Stunning day for the Run for Sabin School 2019
Posted: Oct 28th, 2019
Sneakers, sunshine and smiles where everywhere at the 2019 "Run for Sabin School!" Students ran around the school earning lap after lap of funding for Sabin. An occasional breather was taken to stop at the "hydration station" for a quick gulp of water, or to dance a few improvised steps to the fun music provided at the race. Parents, friends and grandparents cheered for every student as they rounded the school. The Run for Sabin School is Sabin's largest fundraising event of the year and a perfect fit for Braces by Dr. Joe. What could be better than supporting an event that gets the students outdoors, active and smiling? We'd like to offer a special "Thank You" to all the volunteers, organizers and teachers for putting together such an amazing event! Go Sabin!

Go Bulldogs!

We cheered as the Bulldogs skipped, walk and ran around the track at the Fourth Annual Faubion Fun Run. The rainclouds held off and the sun came out so everyone had fun while earning money for the school.
Bingo the Bulldog lead warmup exercises so all the lightning fast runners were primed and ready to go. Timber Joey helped clean up the track and field so it was sparkling for the runners. Big shout out to all the volunteers who helped hand out water, snacks and kept everyone on course.
The Kindergarteners showed everyone how to raise funds and won our cash challenge. Woohoo! Huge hat’s off to the Fun Run Team and the PTA for organizing such a fun event that put giant smiles on the faces of the Faubion Bulldogs!

1st Graders

Kindergarteners
Results from the Madeleine School Jog-a-thon are in and the winners of the $250 challenge grants from Braces by Dr. Joe & Dr. Rensch are the First Graders, and the Kindergarteners! Don't you just love it when the youngest students show 'em how it's done! The Kindergartners had the highest participation of any class in the event , and the First graders raised the most money. Awesome! We love supporting the Jog-a-thon and the students at the Madeleine School. This year the weather on the day of the Jog-a-thon was so hot, students had only 20 minutes to run as many laps as they could, (not the usual 40.) Parents and friends lined the track with spray bottles ready to cool off the runners. Popsicles were a perfect way to end the day. Great job students at the Madeleine School!

Pizza, friends, family, and lots of smiles ended the season for the Braces by Dr. Joe & Dr. Rensch Wilshire Riverside Little League team. A pizza picnic before the game gave everyone a chance to catch their breath and relax. Over the season the team showed a lot of improvement in baseball skills and equally as important developed many friendships.
We are proud to support Wilshire Riverside Little League. We'd like to thank the awesome coaches, family members and many volunteers it takes to keep these local kids playing ball in the park. It’s great to see everyone outside playing together, learning to be a part of team!
We're looking forward to next year!

The Jog-a-Thon at the Madeleine School was a blazing success!
For the third year in a row we are happy to support The Madeleine School by offering 2 challenge grants during the Jog-a-Thon. Whew! this year race day the temperatures reached into the 90's so parents stood near the track with spray bottles ready to cool off the runners. Awesome music made running (or walking) around the track sound like fun. Way to go Madeleine students, parents and staff for putting together such a fun event every year!
.

The Jog-a-Thon is a major fundraiser for The Madeleine School, and getting everyone outside, and having fun makes it a perfect event for Braces by Dr. Joe & Dr. Rensch to help support. Plus, we get to hand out 300 popsicles!

Play Ball! Put down the electronic devices and head for the ballpark. We love supporting the neighborhood kids as they learn to play baseball. Little Leaguers learn how to work as a team, communicate with each other, get outside and have fun! It's a great night when parents, grandparents and friends are cheering in the stands. Go watch a game some night, you'll laugh and have a good time, and see some great baseball. We'd also like to recognize the many coaches and volunteers who make these games possible. You are appreciated! Here's to fun times and snacks after the game!

United PDX & Braces by Dr. Joe Partnership
Posted: Apr 6th, 2019

We are proud of the partnership between Braces by Dr. Joe and the United PDX Soccer Club. In continued tradition, Dr. Joe and his team are excited to support another great local organization. United PDX has become one of the most consistently successful and accessible soccer institutions in Oregon and we are thrilled to help support their commitment to reaching the highest standards in our region for fields and coaching. The jersey sponsorship, in part, enables United PDX to fund the nearly $35,000 over two years to families that would otherwise not be able to participate in their programs. It's just a great fit as we, at Dr. Joe's, believe that healthy kids start with healthy communities and United PDX would like to help get as many kids out there enjoying the game!
“There is no better community than NE Portland! For 15 years, we’ve been building beautiful neighborhood smiles- nothing gives me more pleasure than supporting our local youth, coaches and organizers, ensuring a healthy fit future generation of NE kiddos. Now let’s roll up our sleeves and score some goals- see ya on the pitch!” -Dr. Joe
